Mary Elizabeth Coleridge (23 sep1861-25Aug 1907


Mary Coleridge was the great grand niece of S.T Coleridge and great niece of Sara Coleridge. She was a essayist, novelist and a poet. She wrote under the pseudonym 'Adonos'. She published five novels and a number of poems. Her best known novel among those is 'The King with Two Faces'. Many of her poems set to songs by her family friend and composer 'Hubert Parry'. She died from complications arising from appendicitis. Other published works include- Fancy's Following, Sever Sleepers of Ephesus, Non Sequitur, The Fiery Dawn, The Shadow on the Wall, Holman Hunt etc
